I've been to this place several times and it's always excellent. They have a smaller menu but what they have they do WELL! I have always received outstanding service when I've been there as well. Our server tonight was Avery (I hope I got that right 😣) and he was AMAZING! He was polite, funny, fast, and kind. Overall, a wonderful dinner experience.

Always amazing. The corned beef and cabbage is my favorite. The irish meatloaf was a pleasant surprise when my hubby ordered it. It tasted more like saulsbury steak, but was still really good. The Wicklow wings are also in my top 5 along with the soups. Again, never had a bad meal here and I've been about 5 or 6 times. Always a joy to patronize this place. Service is also excellent!

The food was amazing! The staff was more than amazing! Not only was our server attentive but anyone passing out table made sure we were happy. I have never had better service! Awesome team! Keep up the great work!

Place is small but can feel homey. Good tap list and variety, food is relatively cheap and tasty, portions aren't huge but good quality. Would go again.

Had absolutely fantastic fish and chips. My date had the shepherds pie. We were both very pleased with the food and the service.

We've gone to the Summerville location several times in the past few months and have never been disappointed!! Their jumbo wings and loaded fries are AMAZING! Genuinely the best wings I've ever had, every time we go. The service is always amazing, the drinks were good as well! The food is also very reasonably priced in my opinion. I recommend this place to everyone I know, truly an amazing experience all around.

Authentic Irish Pud with a lot of Irish fare and flare. I would like to see bangers and mash added to the menu however the fish and chips, sheppard's pie, Guinness beer cheese soup, wings and more are all excellent. Speaking of wings, if you like them try the Formula 1,blackened wings! So yummy. If you like Irish fare then Madra Rua is for ya.

A bit pricey but the servers are nice, food and drinks are served fast. Their burgers and fries are pretty good though the burger was a bit overdone and blackened on the outside, but not much. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and there are both seats of you dont want to sit at the bar. The biggest draw back is if you get food to go, fries in those styrofoam boxes end up sweating and becoming soggy by the time you get home with your food. I dont know how to really fix this issue outside of putting them in cups and using paper bags instead of plastic.

I have never had a bad experience here. Absolutely love the Sheppard Pie and the Irish nachos. I wish i could say I've had something else but they are both so good everytime, I've never ordered something different.

This is a cool Irish pub. The food is fantastic. The bathrooms are very clean. To me, this is a good inclination that the kitchen is clean too. We will be back.

Very nice place, bartenders are awesome and knowledgeable! Food was pretty good, the Shepard's pie I will recommend, the lobster bisque I won't (didn't have much essence of lobster and not a single piece in mine). Nice clientele inside, good assortment of Irish whiskey as well.

Madra Rua Irish Pub was a fun food place to go and take our large family. I ordered Shepard's Pie. My meal was a big YUM! Besides plenty of seating options for accommodating lots of people, you can find a cozy corner for two. Service was attentive and friendly. Recommend for some good eats!

I only go here for brunch, but the service is good and so is the food. Also the bloody Mary's are on point. We go there about once a month for brunch.

Good beer, good food, lovely place. More drink choices than just the Margaritas that have overwhelmed nearly every place else! 😒 I like red ales, which are often not offered in places; the Smithwick's they have is very good.

This place is the gem of Summerville. Every night there is a special that brings you back the next night.Back in 2020 Started with a respectable Old Fashioned and excellent Grinder tacos. Main course was the Prime Rib sandwich with fries.

Stopped in for a business lunch. Portions were large but prices reasonable. They had a good spot for our party of eight to talk and the waitress looking after us was great.

I hate writing this because I have heard nothing but good things about Madra Rua. I met up with friends and I didn't want to be rude. I was there at 1:00 on a Sunday, towards the end of the Brunch menu. I ordered the skillet, my friend ordered the crabcakes Benedict. Her food was so salty, she didn't eat one of the crabcakes (or take it home!) My skillet had roasted potatoes that had been sitting in the pan for a while. It really looked like my meal come from the bottom of the pan, very little meat or egg. The cheese wasn't even melted. I was only in Charleston for a few days. I've been eating really good food. But this was such a disappointment.

I thought the reviews were all lies! They were not! Place was awesome. Love the bar that is filled with classy people who just drinks and having a good time without getting super loud. Love the Irish song playing in the background. Oh and don't forget the ambiance inside that actually makes you feel like you're in one of those taverns in Ireland. Food was amazing. The server was amazing. And the prize was very very fair and reasonable. Would definitely come back to have my Reuben again lol

Great pub, wish I knew about it when my parents came down, they will love it too. Food great, burger perfectly cooked, chips fresh made. Waiter was great! Enjoyed the heck out of the Carmel cheesecake!!! Will admit I really wanted the pb cup pie tho, next time I'll get both! 🤣. Great job! Great atmosphere great music!They did have 2 men's bathrooms closed due to issues luckily there was a third!

Great bar on it's own. But the staff is great even when they are absolutely slammed if there is a soccer match going on. The food is amazing even if you are not a sports fan, the food should have you coming for a visit.

Fast service and great food. The wait time on drinks and orders was minimal. I recommend the prime rib beef sandwich! Add the loaded fries and you will not be disappointed. The waiter was very attentive. He had our drinks topped off always. The best part is the reasonable prices. Overall my group and I had a pleasant dinning experience. I recommend this place and will be a returning customer.
